The people behind the 48-hour promise.
A small team with deep roots in Nigerian trade, finance, and data engineering.
The team
Adeshina Adewumi
Adeshina built his career in Nigerian banking and trade advisory before founding Trade Lenda in 2024. His focus: close the gap between the speed of Apapa customs clearance and the slowness of bank LC approval — using the NCS data that banks were not using.
Chinwe Okafor
Eight years in the trade finance desk of a Lagos commercial bank — processing Form M approvals, NCS documentation, and cross-border LC files. Chinwe joined Trade Lenda to build the underwriting process she always thought the bank should have had.
Emeka Nwosu
Emeka built risk-data pipelines at a Lagos fintech before joining Trade Lenda. He leads the AI scoring model — integrating NCS customs APIs, shipment manifests, and buyer payment history into the structured risk summary that each underwriter reads before opening an application.
Fatima Lawal
Fatima's background is regulatory compliance in Nigerian financial services. She manages Trade Lenda's operational controls, ensures alignment with CBN lending guidelines, and keeps the platform's KYC and AML processes current with NFIU requirements.
